^^This is one of my favorite songs ever; the band was formed by John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, who were the original members of Taking Back Sunday, along with Jesse Lacey of Brand New—they also put on great live shows.

New Year, New Stuff! (and Music)

Ok, so I've decided that for a blog with music at its focal point, there's really a distinct lack of actual music. So from now on I'm going to start posting five songs I really love, whether recent or older, and putting them up for download every week or two. I have a rather eclectic taste, so every genre will get represented at some point, and hopefully this helps people really get exposed to music they might not otherwise have listened to. Think of it like iTune's Single of the Week.

I'm also going to try to start posting the actual song with sheet music, that way people can listen to it as they play, or see if they may want the sheet music for a song they don't know.

So here we go, the first batch of 2010:

I have no idea why I didn't post this when the film first came through theatres, but I just found the file floating around in my computer, so here it is. Very easy to play, but beautiful in it's simplicity.

This is the "more difficult" version of the song on piano, as in just more comprehensive of all the notes which are actually in the song, but it's still quite fun to play.

Alright, after a long hiatus, and mainly getting situated in my new city and college life, I'm back with more sheet music--sorry to keep anyone waiting!

Also, I've decided to make some changes to the format of the sheet music--from now on I'll be uploading all the music in PDF form, that way it's just a one-click download, and it's a lot easier for me to upload as well. Hope it helps!

I just wanted to take a moment to apologize to anyone who happens to check my blog on a fairly consistent basis (and I would be honored if people actually did that) about my long hiatus from posting sheet music. I've been absolutely swamped with work, school, colleges, and working on my own compositions for my band (even now I'm posting this from my iPhone at the downtown library doing an English research paper). Hopefully I'll be able to find some time either over spring break or just whenever there's a break in the entropy which is my life I'll be able to put a whole ton of transcriptions online to make up for my absence. Thanks for bearing with me, and I appreciate all the comments that you guys leave. Until next time.
